Following an incident last week the Exec Comm would like to detail the following;

EMGC EMERGENCY PROTOCOL

Emergency Contingency Procedure

In the event of a medical emergency on the course, please follow these steps to ensure the fastest and most effective response.

1   Contacting Emergency Services:

◦                      The playing partner(s) of the individual requiring assistance should immediately call an AMBULANCE (000). 

◦                      The playing partner(s) of the individual requiring assistance should immediately call the PROSHOP. This will alert them to the incident and the need to direct the Ambulance to the incidents location.    ALSO they will facilitate any equipment or transport required.

◦                      The ambulance service will need specific information on the patient’s condition, so please be prepared to provide as many details as possible.

2   CPR and Equipment Access:

◦                      Begin CPR if necessary and locate the nearest defibrillator, ProShop, to assist the patient. Pro Shop staff will help facilitate quick access to emergency equipment as needed.
