I would like to congratulate our scratch pennant team for it hard fought win over Westgate, to win the Division 3 Scratch Pennant final. Well done Mick Rossborough, Austin, Manny Zouros, Rob Grant, Antony, Stelios, Adam, Mick Mortimer, Blair Fairley, Ivan Turfrey and Jeff Harkins. The time, effort and dedication the team members have put in has paid off, they have made our club proud.
I wish to thank all the other club members who assisted the pennant team throughout the season, these members also gave up their time for the benefit of the team and the club. With a special thank you to Andrew Nally (team manager), without club members like these we would be just an average golf club. Please congratulate our team members when you see them on Saturday.
I would also like to thank Bendigo Bank for their continuing support of our club and our pennant team. The financial support that Bendigo Bank gives our club goes a long way to making sure that we are able to maintain our pennant teams. Other golf clubs are struggling to support their teams and have reduced them, we are very lucky to have the support of Bendigo Bank.
